Delay: When you begin to crave something, tell yourself that you'll wait 10 minutes before you act upon it. During those 10 minutes, find something to occupy your mind and body-physical exertion is a great way to distract yourself. If the craving persists after 10 minutes, drink a glass of water. If you are still hungry, allow yourself a small portion, but don't go overboard.
