A member asked:

Would you expect dexamphetamine to feel 'stronger' when you stopped combining it with lexapro (escitalopram)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: While we often combine ssris such as Lexapro (escitalopram) with psychostimulants such as dextroamphetamine, and usually do not see an interaction, there have been case reports suggesting that serotonin reuptake inhibitors may, rarely, potentiate the pharmacologic response to sympathomimetic agents. Please let your prescribing physician know if you are having difficulties.
