At what stage of alzheimer's should a patient remain in the hospital for care?

Many : Toward the progressive severe state, behavior gets often aggressive and risky, with potential for harm. This may need in-patient control. Advanced patients may get infected and need hospital care. If a patient has no one to care for them, placement from a hospital to a chronic facility may delay discharge.

Never: Hospital is not a good place for people with alzheimer's disease. They should try to avoid going there and get treatment where they are, either at home or in a long term institution.
