Variable: Mvp can lead to mitral regurgitation and this causes a murmur. Symptoms are variable, depending on the severity. Mvp most commonly is asymptomatic but sometimes causes palpitations. If you are having any symptoms, you should have an echocardiogram to evaluate the valve and severity.
