A member asked:

What are the requirements for a tubal ligation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually over 21: If you have medicaid you will have a 30 day waiting period after you sign the consent form. You must be over 21. Many physicians will want you to be older before making such a permanant decision. If you have private insurance or are a cash pay there may be no waiting period. Be sure this is what you want, as once done is very difficult and expensive to undo.
