Multidisciplinary!: Regardless of the age or sex of the patient, a team of clinicians working together to address the various aspects of this disease is key. This may include a nurse, pediatrician/family physician, psychiatrist, therapist and nutritionist/dietician. The severity of the symptoms will determine if this occurs in hospital or as an outpatient.

Depends on age & wt: If dangerously underweight or ill, medical stabilization would be the first priority. After stabilization, for adolescents, family therapy is considered first line.
