See formula: Here is a guideline. For a man- it should be 106 pounds for 5ft. Then 6 pounds additional for each inch. (plus or minus 10% for age) so- a 5ft 8 man should weigh ( 106 + 8x 6) or 154 pounds. You can add on an extra 10% if he has a large frame and say 170 pounds is still within the range.
