If i have an ache below the waist area near the uterus, is that a sign i'm about to start ovulating?

Might be. Use an OPK: Ovulation predictor kits (opk) are more useful than tracking symptoms, cervical mucus or basal body temperature when ttc. The OPK should go positive 1-1.5 days before you ovulate, so you know your most fertile days. Store brands work; if not try ovuquick - search online and get 9-pack not 6. If you have very irregular periods don't bother with OPK - see a rei physician for tests to find out why.
