A member asked:

Can hiv be transmitted from father to son at birth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I can't see a way: If a man gives HIV to the child's mother & she remains untreated or unrecognized during pregnancy. The child can get what dad passed through mother. If not, it would take some form of direct blood exposure for dad to pass it to a newborn.
