Could be: A croaky voice (especially if there is a change) could be a sign that there is some issue with the vocal folds themselves. It could be swelling, infection, a mass/polyp/cyst, or something else. Following up with a laryngologist/voice disorder specialist is extremely important in any acute voice changes.
