TKA for RA: Tka is an excellent treatment for severe ra, assuming you exhausted conservative means.

Yes: Rheumatoid arthritis is a disabling disease that can cause severe joint destruction. Treatment should be via non-operative options first- nsaid's, cortisone injections, and other disease modifying agents (e.g. Methotrexate or humira). If the pain from the RA in the knee is no longer adequately treated by the conservative options, total knee replacement is an excellent option.
