Never heard it said: Pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) is very common, affecting up to 8-10% of women. We have had a fairly well-accepted standard definition of pcos since 2003 (search 'rotterdam pcos criteria'). I have never heard of pcos divided into 'minor' and 'major' - ask your doctor what s/he means by that? My best guess is that minor is pcos with regular cycles, & major is women with pcos and anovulation.
