Few possibilities : There are a few possibilities. First, you may have a cracked tooth. Second, some teeth just experience sensitivity and can be treated with stannous Fluoride or over the counter sensitivity products. Third, it is possible the tooth is suffering from pulpitis (inflammation of the pulpi or nerve) which can happen sometimes even without decay. Check with your dentist and have that tooth evaluated.
