Very important contr: Asthma needs to be controlled and acute attacks to be prevented to cut down the hospitalisations and in severe cases it can be fatal if not properly treated if not properly controled can cause unneccessary hospitalisations and can be life threatning.

Very important: You can die of a severe asthma exacerbation, and long-standing asthma can become copd. Your best bet is to make sure your asthma is controlled - avoid triggers, don't smoke, adhere to your medication regimen. Talk to your doctor! if you learn how to control your asthma, you should be able to lead a normal life.
