Yes: Psychological/emotional stress has been recognized as a potential cause of hives. There are, however, numerous other potential causes of hives including potentially life-threatening allergic reactions, physical factors (heat, cold, pressure, etc) and underlying systemic illness or infection. You should discuss this with your doctor or allergist who can help make an accurate diagnosis.
