Not likely: Even significant arthritis in a 21 year old is not common. You need a comprehensive work up to include labs to evaluate for rheumatoid conditions. Based on your history this kind is pain in a sixteen year old is concerning.

Possibly: Attention to proper body mechanics is very important. Paying attention to your posture is also important. A therapy program focusing on cervical stabilization, postural exercises will help resolve issues resulting from bad posture. But if symptoms worsen, if you develop any arm pain or symptoms, then you must notify your doctor for evaluation and more work-up.
