A member asked:

Is a diaphragm an effective method of bc after having a baby, if i do not want to use the mini pill or condoms? what are the risks/pros/cons?

Dr. Ashu Syal answered

Birth control: No method is 100% effective. Efficacy wise pills are the best; but even with them you do need extra help to make sure as they have failure rate too. Iuds are better than diaphragm. Either way discuss your options with your OB gyn.
