Special Case: You should be evaluated for a mucocilliary dysfunction. There are some genetic disorders that cause patients to have dysfunctional cilia (the tiny structures that clear mucus and other debris from your respiratory tract) also you should be evaluated for asthma and allergies. An experienced allergist office is a good place to start.
