A member asked:

Diagnosed with "hemiplegic migraines" but i don't even know what that means. how do i live with them? will i always have to take meds?

Just half-paralysis: Hemiplegia =paralysis of half (r or l) of your body. Hemiplegic migraine=migraine causing paralysis of one side of your body. The paralysis is similar to those suffering stroke, but will resolve with resolution of the migraine. Meds preventing migraine attacks will prevent the paralysis and the migraine typically gets better/less frequent after menopause! consult doc. Good luck.
