Laryngospasm : Laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr) may occur with or without gastroesophageal reflux ( the kind which produces heartburn). Lpr can lead to spasmic closure of the vocal cords, known as laryngospasm. See your otolaryngologist to confirm this, and see your gastroenterologist for reassessment of your reflux condition.
