How low?: Slightly lower level may normal for a given person. Excessive sweating and drinking water, without electrolytes may result in lower levels. Excessive loss through vomiting, diarrhea, diuretic uses are other causes. There are endocrine disorders that can cause low sodium. If you have any symptoms like weakness, consult your doctor.
