Doctor can evaluate: For symptoms like these, a primary care doctor and a physiatrist (physical medicine & rehabilitation doctor) or neurologist can evaluate. The doctors can figure out if there is a problem with the nerves and/or arteries (blood supply) to the left arm. A patient should check to see exactly which positions of her arm, and which activities, worsen the symptoms; and which do not; and tell the doctors.
