I am a 42 year old woman, that had a hysterectomy, so i know i am not pregnant. i have a very sore, shooting pain in my left breast. suggestions?

Need to see your MD: Even though hysterectomy was done some times ovaries were not removed , still you will have hormonal activity , most likely benign fibrocystic disease, you need to see your doctor for exam and mammogram to make sure it is not any serious condition

See your doctor: Most likely and inflammatory process (mastitis? Infection?)which points more to benign condition than a malignant one. Either way you need an evaluation right away by your primary physician.
