Pain :-( : If you have sustained trauma and have immediate discomfort and difficulty moving the arm the possibility of a fracture exists. Sometimes people complain that they feel the broken ends of the bones moving as well. If suspicious, it is worth having an xray sooner rather than later.

Shoulder fracture: Patients usually have an abrupt onset of pain, almost always following a trauma. On examination, there is an area of tenderness. Range of motion is limited. X-ray is needed to make diagnosis.
