Meds not vitamins: There are some that will respond to cetirazine (zyrtec)or fexofenadine (allegra) which are available over the counter as a once daily med. Tagamet (cimetidine) may still be prescription as a liquid for kids & is sometimes used for chronic hives. A review of your situation with your pcp may help you find one that works.Vitamins are a waste of time, just expensive urine additives.

Hives: Vitamin c , 500 to 900 mgs could help , also plus quercetin. You can also go to get a alcat test, ige lab, others igg and found more about what initiate the problem , urticaria or angioedema . Check for the vita c and age, plus vita d for kids. Remember 15 to 30 mins / sun per day. Improve the vit k, a, b, e in concentrations specific /age. Guava kiwi and orange are good source, if not allergy.

No, absolutely not.: Don't fall for the garbage about vitamins to prevent hives! in fact, high dose vitamin c has been implicated in causing hives. You should eat a well balanced diet and supplement vitamins based on your diet. Hives are often caused by allergy, so your best bet is to see an allergy expert = a board certified allergist for testing and advice.
