Several possibilitie: There are problems with the ear that can cause dizziness with sudden head movement. There are also problems with the cardiovascular system that can cause dizziness (lightheadedness) with sudden changes in body position. If hydration does not help, and if it occurs with just movements of your head (from side to side) without moving the rest of your body, you should see your doctor for treatment.
