Both are harmful...: Both liquid and solid sweetners are harmful if they contain sugars and starches, because cavity-causing bacteria feed on them. Sugar-free sweeteners are not harmful, so sugar-free gum doesn't cause cavities.

???: Liquid sweetener as in agave, honey, or as the flavors used in coffee which are sugar and corn syrup, based or an artificial sweetener would have different answers ... Please clarify so we can properly answer. Therevare health issues as well so the md's could address that part..
