No: Tonsillar descent is a condition when the lower portion of the cerebellum is able to migrate through the opening in the bottom of the skull. If it happened due to trauma, it is called tonsillar herniation and is usually rapidly fatal. If there is tonsil descent found on ct or mri, it is usually part of a chiari malformation and should not be dangerous. See your family dr. For evaluation.
