Folliculitis: While shaving pubic and arm pit hair is certainly fine you must take certain precautions. Shaving on dry skin is going to cause alot of irritation to the skin and hair follicles. It sounds like you have given yourself a mild case of folliculitis. Most cases will resolve on their own with skin moisturizer. If not then schedule a visit to make sure there is no infection. Next time use shaving gel.
