No: Lisinopril is a medication used to control hypertension and has been shown to decrease microalbuminuria in those with diabetes though glycemic control is also necessary.

No: Lisinopril does not affect sugar. It does help protect the kidneys and the heart in some situations in addition to being a terrific BP med.
