What could happen if you run on a foot with a stress fracture?

Fracture: Stress fractures are the last stage before complete failure of the bone. The balance between bone breakdown and bone rebuilding has been lost. Continuing to run on a stress fracture will delay healing in the best of circumstances and will eventually result in a complete fracture.

Fracture: A stress fracture is the result of overuse and running in particular is a common cause of this condition. Running after diagnosis of stress fracture could result in affected bone fracturing frankly necessitating further treatment and/or surgery.
