Big difference: A panic attack, aka, an anxiety attack may occur out of the blue and is associated with anxiety/nervousness, shortness of breath, chest pain, feeling like passing out or feeling out of control, as well as other symptoms. Often, a person having a panic attack may think they're having a heart attack. A seizure is caused by abnormal brain wave activity possibly resulting in a shaking epileptic fit.

Seizure versus panic: Most panic attacks surface when a person is scared, starts holding their breath, become tearful, and frightened. What can you do? Start with taking deep breaths then the brain will have enough oxygen to do it's best to help you think clearly. I enjoy holding my breath in for 5 to 10 seconds and letting it out in 30 seconds. Seizues have more tightened muscles, including an "aura", and falling.

Panic/seizure: Seizures usually are preceded by an aura, and a state of confusion after the attack is over. Some cases are difficult to differentiate, but thorough history can be a guide.

A lot: a seizure is generally completely outside your control and your brain is mis firing-sometimes can tell it is about to happen. Panic attacks can in some cases can be modified and controlled with specific behavioral strategies and are most often provoked by external circumstances, though not always. Both can benefit from treatment with medication most often, even diet changes can make a difference
