Can polps or colon cancer come on quickly?

Not unless history. : Polyps and/or colon cancer usually take a long time to develop, practically a lifetime. They are the result of a long period of dietary intake of animal fats, and not enough fiber. This means toxins are not removed fast enough and cause these changes. The exception is if one has a family history of one of the polyposis syndromes, like familial polyposis coli, and they get cancer by 40.
