Fracture Type: The answer depends on the type of hip fracture and the type of surgery. Usually most hip fractures heal within 3 months. A partial hip replacement recovers the fastest because there is no need for bone healing. Factors like age, muscle condition, smoking factors, etc do come in to play. The healing is monitored by xrays every 6 weeks.
