A member asked:

Whats the difference between brain injury and traumatic brain injury?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cause: An eventual brain injury can be due to decreased blood flow (stroke), or an aneurysm (hemorrhage), or low blood sugar or low oxygen (hypoxia). When the term traumatic is used, the cause is a physical injury like being hit hard over the head after falling. Unfortunately any severe brain insult could affect future fnctn quite severely.
