Yes, it can: Bipolar mania can surely cause violent actions. The person is agitated, irritable, energized, impulsive, and psychotic. S/he may not be able to discriminate appropriate actions. Thoughts are rapid, and difficult to follow - communications are the same way and the person can be hard to understand. Because of this, one can easily offend them. If the person is also abusing drugs, even worse.
