Of course.: Cervical mucus is being produced whether you are pregnant or not. Its consistency and amount change depending on your cycle (more abundant and clear around the time of ovulation to assist spermatozoa to reach your egg); it gets thick and impervious to most pathogens when you get pregnant. Progesterone helps maintain it thick throughout pregnancy.
