Second opinion: Did you have relapse after your braces? Did you not wear your retainers or the overbite was not fully corrected? Get second opinion by an orthodontist.

Get a second opinion: Hello, usually braces will treat this issues that you are talking about with regards to correction your arch size and how your teeth come together. I'm not sure how long you have had your braces and if you had it done by a board certified orthodontist. If you haven't, then go get a second opinion from an orthodontist and he may be able to help you. Referral is best. Good luck.

Possible surgery: Your description of having a jaw size discrepancy between your upper jaw and lower jaw with a bite problem suggests you have a skeletal malocclusion. If you have already had braces, you may need to have another evaluation with an orthodontist or oral surgeon to determine if your concerns can be corrected with orthodontics alone or if surgery may also be indicated to align the jaws.

Depends on growth: If jaws don't match and you're still growing, orthodontic treatment may be able to harmonize jaw size. If you are no longer growing, you may need a combination of orthodontic treatment and jaw surgery.

Small jaw: If your lower face looks small, it can only be changed by surgery. An oral surgeon who does orthognathic surgery is the person to see.

Jaw angle important: Sometimes what appears to be a small lower jaw in reality is a mandible which has grown very vertically. It means that jaw may be normal size but this angle= chin is rotated clockwise and looks small. Surgical impaction of the posterior maxilla and counter-clockwise rotation of lower jaw will give chin more prominence. Also new techniques (tads) allow impaction of upper molars=same effect.
