How can you help heel a jammed or broken finger?

Splint and ice: Seek medical care if broken and get appropriate treatment. If jammed and not broken, then splinting, ice, elevation and gentle range of motion are needed. Don't hesitate to be seen if needed. You need your fingers and all of their function over a lfietime.

Get X-ray and see MD: Proper diagnosis and treatment (splint, tape, or possible surgery) may be necessary for best long-term outcome. Self-diagnosis and non-treatment often leads to permanent loss of function and later arthritis problems in the damaged digit. The person who treats themself has a fool for a patient.
