A member asked:

Can eating moldy bread cause gastrointestinal problems a year later?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very unlikely: Generally moldy bread has growth of a fungus like penicillium. Almost all such organisms will be eliminated by stomach acid and digestive enzymes, and a year later will have been gone almost a year. Gastrointestinal problems can result from a wide variety of illnesses. See a doctor if this keeps up. Hope you are better.
