Age Dependent: The most commonly broken bone in those younger than 75 is the distal radius (a wrist fracture), with finger fractures very common as well. After the age of 75 hip fractures become more common, but wrist fractures remain the most common.

Documented?: The nasal bone is the most commonly broken facial bone however it is my impression that far more toe (phalangeal) fractures are sustained but have been undiaganosed, undocumented, and untreated due to normal trauma sustained with stubbing your toes or sports injuries that are never seen by a physician.
