See below: The atrium is one of the 4 chambers of the heart. You have 2 atria and 2 ventricles. The right atrium receives blood from the body that needs to be re-oxygenated by the lungs. It sounds like you have a mass there of some sort. Excision simply means surgical removal. So it seems that your surgeon will remove this mass in the right atrium surgically for pathological evaluation.
