Yes SFS is tethered : It sounds as if your have a tethered scar. Scar massage may help and should be performed for 4-6 months if permitted by your surgeon. If no relief is achieved, steroid injections may help or scar release and layered repair with scar revision may be necessary.

It's adherent scar: It sounds like the scar is stuck to the deep fascia. This is a common problem, and there are no ramifications except for the symptoms and the appearance. If the scar is new it may loosen with time. Otherwise, a scar revision (with or without a tummy tuck or mini-tuck) can release the scar.
