Where is the epiphyseal plate located in the body?

End of long-bones: The epiphyseal plate is in the metaphyseal region, that is, near the ends, of long bones. They are present in children as they are from where bone growth occurs. They close at various times during development. The plates are closed and not seen in adults.

EVERYWHERE...: These are also known as "growth plates" and are fould in a lot of the growing bones. Some have a single center of ossification, but the long bones have growth plates. They are in different places on the bones of the upper extremity, lower extremity, hands and feet.
