What does it mean when the bottom of my butt and above my thigh hurts? it hurts to walk on.

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Musculoskeletal : More likely than not, pain upon walking suggests musculoskeletal issues, most likely muscle strain. Any recent injury or trauma? Hip issues don't usually refer to your buttocks as much as your groin area. Go see your family physician if your pain doesn't resolve in a few days to weeks. Speed up the process by avoiding activities that aggravate it, eg walking!
