What can i do if i've damaged the ligaments in my knee?

Depends...: The treatment of knee ligament injuries ultimately depends on which ligament is injured and what your complaints are after the initial recovery phase is over. Initially you want to use crutches, ice, compression and elevation.... For most injuries you want to move the knee, and for some immobilization is needed. Your ortho md should be able to guide you based on your "injury pattern".

Rest and support: Initially use ice to reduce swelling and wear a knee support. If you continue to have pain and swelling see an orthopedist.
