A member asked:

Is it possible to pinch a nerve or ligament in your knee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Most knee pain is mechanically related to stress placed on the supporting structures of the knee such as the ligaments (attach bone to bone), tendons (attach muscle to bone), meniscus (the padding) and the bone itself (if it is subjected to increase pressure and stress). There are nerves that are located above and behind the knee that can be injured, but this less likely than the above.
