A member asked:

I have a clubbed thumb d but rather my family grandma grandpa has it how many chances can my child have it then?

Common trait: These digit anomalies are commonly passed as a dominant trait. This means you only need one gene dose to pass it or have it rather than a whole gene pair. Every kid would have a 50% chance of getting your thumb gene. This gene can sometimes decide not to express itself, a condition called variable penetrance. That means it could skip one or more generations & show up again.
