Cholesterol: First line of treatment is diet and exercise, if it does not work, go to our primary care physician to know your level, he will be the one evaluating and potentially prescribing some lowering cholesterol drug like statins or other cholesterol biding drugs.

Depends: It depends on how high the cholesterol level is and what may be causing it. If the level is higher than 240, it would be prudent to see a cardiologist.
