Maybe...maybe not.: You may have had what is called a " complex migraine". This is where you can get some very scary neurological symptoms as a result of a migraine. If this was a TIA than you need to be worked up for hypercoagulability ( blood clots) and some other things. I suggest you seek medical attention as soon as you can to be evaluated. This may mean the er or calling your pcp in am. If this recurs go to er.

Effect of migraine: Part of the migraine effect is a tendency for TIA type events. Especially if you are on birth control pills there is a risk for such events. Taking Aspirin at onset of symptoms is protective. Mri in patients with migraine can be quite abnormal showing small areas consistent with small tias. Most recover fully.

Wrong diagnosis!: You probably did not have a TIA at your age. My guess is you experienced tingling in your fingers which moved up your arm and lasted only a few minutes. You may have had some tingling in your face or on your tongue. This is a migraine aura. Tias will cause tingling going down your arm, not up. See a headache specialist and take baby Aspirin 81 mg/day. www.ache.org.
